Kiss and Drop

Aerial view of where the kiss and drop signs will be located by the school.

The Kiss and Drop parking restriction signs will be installed on Monday 10th of September 2018 but we will not be using the zone (no volunteers) until Tuesday 11th of September 2018 to provide you with some time to familiarise yourselves with where the signs are.

How to use Kiss and Drop at Oatlands Public School

* Drive forward into the kiss and drop zone (as indicated on the map).

*Display your last name on your dashboard (this has been provided by the school).

* Wait in your car (do not get out) while a volunteer reads your dashboard label, finds your child/ren and escorts them to your car.

*The children will be waiting directly behind the fence, sitting with their colour groups.

*The volunteer will open the door on the kerbside to let your child/ren in and help you to check for seatbelts.

* When your child is safely in your car, you may drive out of the zone.

*Do not pull out of the zone. Follow the first car and drive forward.

*Your child/ren will need to take their bag/s with them into the back seat or front seat next to you. It is not safe for children to put their bags in the boot.

Please help us by:

* Reminding your child/ren which colour group they are in.

* Reading your child/ren the rule reminders provided by the school.

* Telling your child/ren if they will be using the zone on a daily basis.

*Staying calm and remembering that everybody who is helping with the zone is a volunteer.

*Providing feedback with possible solutions to the school.

We really appreciate all of the help we have received from the community so far and we are looking forward to using this initiative to help keep our children safe and to improve your pick up experience.
